Take Home Pie Class
Saturday, November 15th 11am-1pm
Celebrate ingredients native to North America, cranberries, pumpkins, pecans, and maple in these delicious pies for Thanksgiving!
Each participant will prepare their own and take home TWO 10” pies. We will be making:
-PUMPKIN PIE with an All-Butter Pie Crust: made with fresh pumpkins from Richardson Farms and Minerva Dairy Butter
-CRANBERRY TART with Pecan Pie Crust: gluten-free made with Elliot Pecans from Georgia
-MAPLE Buttercream: made with local foraged sumac and Minerva Dairy Butter
Participants will take home TO FREEZE UNTIL THANKSGIVING:
-Unbaked 10” Butter Pie Crust in reusable pie plate
-Mason Jar of Pumpkin Pie Filling (EGGS WILL NEED TO BE ADDED BEFORE BAKING)
-Unbaked 10” Pecan Pie Crust in reusable pie plate
-Mason Jar of Cranberry Tart Filling (EGGS WILL NEED TO BE ADDED BEFORE BAKING)
-Mason Jar of MAPLE BUTTERCREAM
All ingredients necessary to bake the pies will be provided, you will only need to whisk in the eggs to filling before baking (about 4-5 eggs). Simply remove all the contents above from your freezer the day before Thanksgiving and finish baking according to the detailed instructions provided in class. Thanksgiving dessert is done!
